Unit Three covers the technologies that facilitate interaction between humans and computers. Without an interpretive layer between people and the core computing hardware, we would be limited to interacting with computers using only the most direct language they understand—that of binary representation. This unit explores the virtual machine that is able to bridge the gap between human understanding and digital circuitry.
